The United States Congress, Servant of AIPAC lobby
Thursday, March 06, 2014
A US lawmaker is still pushing a bill for more anti-Iran sanctions, despite objections from the White House and foreign policy experts.
Senator Robert Menendez says he is still seeking to impose new sanctions on Tehran. Menendez who is on the list of most corrupt US Congressmen made the comments addressing the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC in Washington. The remarks by the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee come as Washington has already warned it will veto any new bill on new Iran sanctions. The White House has repeatedly stressed that new sanctions will only undermine the ongoing nuclear talks with Iran.
